Manual IMAP migration in 5 steps
- Create your SourovStore mailbox and confirm you can log in to webmail.
- Add both accounts to Thunderbird (or any IMAP client) — your old provider and your new SourovStore account. See our setup guides for the exact settings.
- Wait for the old account to fully sync so every folder and message is downloaded locally.
- Select and drag messages (or whole folders) from the old account into the matching folder under your SourovStore account. They upload to the new server as they copy.
- Update your MX records last.Only point your domain's mail to SourovStore once your old mail has copied across, so nothing is missed in between.
Don't forget
- Update the email app on your phone and computer to the new account.
- Tell key contacts if your address itself is changing (not needed if you keep the same domain).
- Keep the old account active for a week or two as a safety net.
